Verifiable draws

Eggs, chests, drops, weather and the other draws use commit-reveal. Before drawing, the server shows the summary (hash) of a secret seed. Afterwards, it reveals the seed.

• Because the hash came first, the seed cannot have been changed after seeing your move.
• The seed is combined with a value from your browser.
• The same commit always reproduces the same result, and anyone can redo the math.

When an egg opens, the seal with the commit hash appears on screen before the shell cracks. The odds of every item are published in the Shop and on the portal’s odds page.
